October GSU Sculpture Park Tours

University Park, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The prairie setting, mixed with the autumn colors and the cooler temperatures, make October the perfect time to view the sculptures in the Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park at Governors State University. The park includes twenty-six sculptures by nationally and internationally recognized artists, including Mark diSuvero, Mary Miss, Bruce Nauman, Martin Puryear, and Richard Hunt. The sculptures are located along paved and unpaved pathways on the university grounds.

Free guided tours of the park will take place on Sunday, October 3 and 17, at 2 p.m. Tours begin on the patio behind the Hall of Governors in D wing at the university and last approximately one and a half hours. Comfortable footwear is recommended as there is extensive walking and occasionally the paths are uneven.

The Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park at Governors State University is open from dawn until dusk, 365 days a year. GSU is located at 1 University Parkway, University Park, Illinois.
