Kyrgyzstan-(ENEWSPF)- Rattling in at a depth of only 17.8 km (11.1 miles), a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Kyrgyzstan earlier today at 2:35:40 PM (CDT) – Central Daylight (Chicago).

The epicenter was 42 km (26 miles) SW of Farghona (Fergana), Uzbekistan; 60 km (37 miles) SE of Quqon (Kokand), Uzbekistan; 98 km (60 miles) SSW of Namangan, Uzbekistan; and 404 km (251 miles) SW of BISHKEK (Frunze), Kyrgyzstan, according to the United States Geological Survey.
