Robbery of TCF Bank Branch in Chicago


Chicago, IL-(ENEWSPF)- FBI agents responded to a bank robbery that took place yesterday at approximately 1:00 p.m. A lone, white male, described by witnesses as 40-50 years old, 5’6”-5’7” tall, blonde, and balding, entered the Charter One Bank branch located at 4411 North Cumberland, Norridge and presented a demand note to a teller and made verbal demands for cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled the bank on foot. Although he threatened to harm the teller, no weapon was displayed, and no one was injured during the robbery.

This same individual is believed to have struck twice before, on the two days immediately preceding the robbery described above. The first robbery occurred at a TCF Bank branch at 4734 North Cumberland in Chicago at approximately 4:52 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012. The second incident was an attempt to rob a TCF Bank Branch located at 819 South Elmhurst Road in Des Plaines at about 11:37 a.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2012. On all three occasions, he presented a note and made verbal demands, and he wore the same dark, long-sleeved flannel shirt each time.
