‘Bidder 70’ to be Screened at UUCC on September 28


Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—September 19, 2013. The documentary ‘Bidder 70’ will be screened at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church (UUCC), 70 Sycamore Drive, Park Forest, on Saturday, September 28.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with an optional vegetarian pot luck dinner.

‘Bidder 70’ will be screened beginning at 7 p.m. with a discussion following the film.

‘Bidder 70’ is a documentary film about Tim DeChristopher, the college student who derailed an illegal Bureau of Land Management Oil and Gas Lease Auction in 2008, bidding $1.8 million to save 22,000 acres of pristine Utah wilderness with no intention to pay or drill.  ‘Bidder 70’ is Tim’s journey from economics student, to climate justice leader, to incarcerated felon.  Since his release from prison, Tim has enrolled in Unitarian Universalist Ministerial School.

Free coffee, tea, and popcorn will be provided. Bring a vegetarian dish to share for potuck dinner if you wish.

The event is free and open to the public. Optional donations appreciated.
