Super Hero Fun Run & Walk to Benefit Officer Tim Jones to be Held on Saturday, May 28

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–May 23, 2016.  Break out your super hero costumes and take part in a run/walk event on Saturday, May 28, inspired by and benefiting Park Forest’s own super hero, Officer Tim Jones. The race begins at 8 a.m. at Park Forest’s Village Hall.

The run is a non-timed, fun run that is close to a mile in distance, but with the option to continue running on the track at Rich East High School where the course ends.

The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children 7 and over. Children under 7 are free. Cost includes a super hero cape, healthy snacks and water.

Jones was critically injured after being shot multiple times while attempting to make an arrest in March. Jones remains in rehabilitation facility.

Registration information:

  • Click on the link below to create your account and register. Note: If you registered for a previous program, you don’t need to create an account again. Just register!
  • After you have an established an approved account, log-in by entering your log-in email address and your password. If you previously established an account, simply login.
  • From the Account Options page, select “Register for Activities” tab and select the activity. Clicking the underlined activity name will show a detailed activity description.
  • Click on the “Add to My Cart” button to register for the activity.
  • Follow the website prompts to complete the transaction.
