Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—August 19, 2012. The Park Forest Environment Commission is currently holding a sale on rain barrels for a cost of $30 each – reduced from $55. The sale price is for rain barrels currently in stock.
Rain barrels are used to collect and store rain water, typically from rooftops. However, unique ways can be devised to harvest water into a rain barrel as you can see at the community garden located at the Park Forest Fire Station. The collected water is then used for watering lawns and gardens.
