Police Beef Up Patrols on Code Red Alert; No Arrests Yet


Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Village officials say no arrests yet on the incidents near Winnebago Park, Westgate Street and Westwood Drive.

Detectives are following up on a number of leads and police have increased patrols.

A statement from the PFPD follows:

As the Park Forest Police Department Investigations Division continues to investigate three incidents last week where women walking alone were battered by a stranger, one of whom was also robbed at knifepoint, the Police Department continues to ask the public to immediately call 911 if you see anything suspicious, or any crime in progress, or if you recognize the person in the composite sketch.

Those with information are asked to contact the Park Forest Police Investigations Division at 708-748-1309. The Police Department thanks everyone who has shared the sketch and for those who have called with information or possible tips.
