Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. A cell phone valued at $300 and a debit card were discovered to have been stolen after a party at a residence in the 200 block of Early Street. The items were reported missing on November 18 after the owner discovered unauthorized withdrawals using his ATM card.

A kitchen sink and all kitchen cabinets, two toilets and two bathroom vanities, a hot water tank and all interior doors were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Oswego Street on November 24.

Police say an unknown person attempted to file for unemployment in the name of a Park Forest resident. The incident was reported on November 25.

The rear driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 23400 block of South Western Avenue was reported shattered on December 2.

Charles X. Hardy, Herndon St., Park Forest, was arrested on December 3 and issued a municipal citation charging disorderly conduct when police responded to Sauk Trail at Western Avenue to investigate a report of a male subject sitting in the front passenger seat of a vehicle waving a gun outside the vehicle. Police recovered a toy gun from inside the vehicle. According to police, Hardy told them, "It was me holding the gun up in the car, not anyone else. It was stupid."

Eric D. Watson, 22, 5916 2nd St., Fridley, MN, was arrested on December 3 and charged with possession of cannabis and processed on out-of-state warrants from Minnesota. Watson was a passenger in a vehicle that police pulled over at the intersection of Western Avenue and Sauk Trail after an officer noticed that the vehicle had only one working headlight.

Myosha V. Howard, 29, 316 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, was arrested on December 4 and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard in reference to a report of a disturbance. A second woman, Aillea L. Howard, 31, 136 10th St., Maywood, IL, was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

A door to a business in the 2500 block of Western Avenue was reported damaged on December 5.

The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Rich Road was reported shattered on December 5.

Kevin T. Swoope, 36, 17306 Wooded Path Dr., Hazel Crest, was arrested on December 6 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when an officer observed the vehicle Swoope was driving traveling 50 mph in a 35 mile-per-hour zone on Western Avenue, according to police. Swoope was also issued a traffic citation charging speeding above the statutory limit and his car was towed per municipal ordinance.

Graffiti was reported spray-painted on the back side of a residence in the 300 block of New Salem Street on December 6.

A wallet and a small amount of change were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Lakewood Boulevard on December 9.

Cedric G. McClinton, 60, 350 Juniper St. Apt. 204, Park Forest, was arrested on December 9 and charged with aggravated assault after police investigated an incident that was first reported at the Park Forest Police Department on December 7.

A homeowner may have prevented a burglary in the first block of Monee Road on December 9. While working in his backyard in the 300 block of Osage Street, the resident observed an unknown man in the backyard of a residence in the first block of Monee Road. The resident also observed that a window of the home on Monee Road was open. The resident did not know the man and did not believe he belonged at the residence. The unknown male said "Are you putting on your snowplow?" The resident looked back and observed the man apparently speaking with someone else. The resident called 911. After calling 911, the resident noticed that the man was gone and the window was now closed. When police arrived, they found no one inside the residence and nothing appeared to be disturbed. Later on, a homeowner arrived and confirmed that nothing was missing or disturbed.

A resident told police on December 9 that he was advised of an overdue cable bill in the amount of $372 at an address in Chicago. The man told police that he has no connection to the Chicago address.

The driver’s side of a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Blair Street was reported scratched on December 10.

An LG television valued at $500, an HP computer valued at $200, a Nikon camera valued at $300, and a TomTom valued at $300 were reported stolen during a residential burglary at a residence in the 200 block of Marquette Street on December 10.

Jonathan E. Green, 22, 130 Hickory St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on December 12 and charged with criminal trespass to land and processed on an outstanding Cook County warrant after police were dispatched to the 200 block of Indiana Street to investigate a criminal trespass to land complaint.

Earnest Walls III, 20, 232 Thomas St., Park Forest, was arrested on December 12 and issued municipal citations charging possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia and a traffic citation charging no rear registration plate light when an officer on patrol in the area of Lakewood Boulevard and Orchard Drive observed that the vehicle Walls was driving did not have an operating rear registration light, according to police. The vehicle was towed per village ordinance, according to police.

Jose D. Oliver Jr., 23, 9 Apple Lane, Park Forest, was arrested on December 12 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis after an officer on patrol traveling northbound on Western Avenue approaching Sauk Trail said that the vehicle Oliver was driving westbound on Sauk Trail made an abrupt turn onto northbound Western Avenue, causing the officer to apply the brakes quickly to avoid an accident, according to police. The vehicle Oliver was driving was towed per municipal ordinance.

After visiting a friend in the 100 block of North Arbor Trail, a woman told police she was walking to her car when an unknown male subject approached her and asked if she had any "loose squares," meaning cigarettes. The woman said she did not have any and continued walking to her car. The subject then ran up to the woman with his right hand in his hoodie pocket as if he had a gun, demanding that the woman hand over whatever she had on her. She gave the suspect her wallet, according to police. Police describe the suspect as approximately 35 years old, 5’8", weighing approximately 150 lbs. with a medium complexion. He was wearing a black hoodie, a black skull cap with a purple Minnesota Vikings emblem, dark jeans, and black boots.

Samuel E. Tillman, 21, 23014 East Dr., Richton Park, was arrested on December 16 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis and traffic citations charging speeding and no valid driver’s license. An officer conducting stationary radar on eastbound Lincoln Highway from the intersection with Indiana Street observed the vehicle Tillman was driving eastbound on Lincoln highway traveling 63 mph in a 40 mph zone, according to police. The vehicle was towed per local ordinance.
