Investigation of Shots Fired at Carnival Yields No Evidence, No Injuries

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Park Forest police posted information on their Facebook page on May 23 regarding a report of possible shots fired during a fight that broke out Friday at Main Street and Victory Drive, north of the Park Forest Carnival.

According to Police Chief Pete Green, officers present at the carnival reported hearing what appeared to be gunshots, but could not be certain that the sound did not come from fireworks someone set off during the scuffle. Green said no shells were recovered from the scene and no gun was reported seen by any witnesses or police present.

Village Manager Tom Mick told eNews Park Forest that someone may have been hurt in the fight, but no injuries were reported to police or paramedics. In fact, Mick said, paramedics were not called to respond to the carnival at all during the four day event.
