Park Forest Police Investigating Armed Robberies

Park Forest, IL -(ENEWSPF)- Park Forest police are investigating two armed robberies in the DownTown area in late July and mid-August. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 708-748-4700.
The following is from the Park Forest Police Department:
On 7/28 a masked subject came into M&S Swag in the Centre and took money and high end clothing from the store owner at gunpoint. The incident occurred at 7:20 P.M. There was no security camera in the store. The detectives collected evidence and are investigating the case based on when the evidence results come back from the state crime lab.
On 8/14 at 9:20 P.M. a masked subject went into the CVS store and walked behind the counter for employees only. The subject pointed a handgun at an employee and took an unknown amount of cash from the cash register. He then ran out of the store in an unknown direction. That case is also being followed up by the detectives when more information returns from the crime lab.
