Video: SD 163's 'Safe Summer SMART Dancers' Heat Up Village Green

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- School District 163's 'School's Out Safe Summer SMART Dancers' perform in the Park Forest Village Green on July 4, 2012.
Under the direction of volunteer Renee Hawthorne, the group is open to children between the ages of 5 and 18, meeting at Beacon Hill Primary Center between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. week days. With funding through the school district, participants receive a free breakfast and lunch each day.
The group wowed the crowed first with Beyoncé's End of Time.
The second selection, however, did give some adults in the crowd pause, Girls Who Run the World, with the chorus, "Girls, we run this mother f --." The expletive was never completely voiced in the version heard Wednesday, replaced instead with rhythm.
Nevertheless, the girls are to be praised for their energy-driven performance, as well as the toddlers who tried to join in with the dancers.
