Chicago Heights, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Nearly every space of Marian Catholic High School will be turned into a crafter’s dreamland when the Marian Catholic High School Band Parents Association presents their 33rd annual Oktoberfest Arts and Crafts Show on Sunday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

More than 100 crafters will fill the school halls and gym with their products. Crafts of all different categories will be available offering a large variety from Christmas items to unique vendors such as homemade pasta and handcrafted soap.  Several vendors will be on hand as well to offer favorite products from Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, Gold Canyon candles and other great businesses.

Beyond the wide variety of crafters, people will flock to the Sr. M. Paul McCaughey Leadership Center for what has become a local tradition.  Authentic and delicious German food will be served such as German potato salad, bratwursts, sausages, sauerkraut in addition to home-made Mac and Cheese.  After lunch move over to the bake sale corner where hundreds of delicious assorted home baked goods will be available for sale.

A raffle runs throughout the day with the grand prizes offered at the end of the event.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the award winning Marian Catholic Marching Band. The Oktoberfest is one of only two fundraisers that the Marian Catholic band holds each year.

“In addition, we have people who have visited or participated in the event for 10 to 15 years,” said Lisa Collins, chair.  It’s a family event that has generations returning along with new people coming every year,” Collins said.

Collins went onto explain that nearly every band parent and band student volunteers for the Oktoberfest in one way or another.

Marian Catholic High School is located at 700 Ashland Avenue in Chicago Heights, Illinois.
