Pat Coffman Huss Exhibit at Tall Grass

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— The Tall Grass Arts Association Gallery exhibit “Reflections,” featuring nearly thirty watercolors by Pat Coffman Huss, opened on Friday, November 30 with a reception in the Tall Grass Gallery from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. It will run through January 12, 2008.

Paintings included in “Reflections” investigate glass and metallic objects, transparent and opaque windows and water within landscapes. Pat’s paintings also draw attention to unique moments and places. Tall Grass gallery visitors will be familiar with Pat’s scenes of the Chicago skyline as well as various neighborhoods within the city. Many of her scenes of the city are inspired by the changing seasons.

As a high school student, Pat studied art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Chicago State University and her Master’s from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Institute of Design. She has also studied at Northern Illinois University and the University of Southern California.

Pat’s award-winning work has been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows. In 2007, she installed a solo show as part of the Healing Arts Program at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois. Her art has also been featured in local group exhibitions. In 2007, these included the Gretchen Charlton Art Gallery in Kankakee, Union Street Gallery in Chicago Heights, Tall Grass Arts Association Gallery in Park Forest, the Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery in Palos Hills, Gallery 218 in Oak Lawn and Sanctuary Gallery in Clifton. Her work is also part of many private and public collections, including Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana; the Smithsonian Museum of American History; Mercy, Ravenswood, Edgewater, Little Company of Mary, St Francis, and Advocate Christ Hospitals; and several municipal buildings, libraries, and schools.

The Tall Grass Arts Association Gallery is located at 367 Artists Walk in DownTown Park Forest. It is adjacent to the Park Forest Village Hall. Gallery hours are 11:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The gallery is open to the public, free of charge.
