Tower Cleaners Robbed at Knifepoint

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Tower Cleaners, 230 Forest Blvd. on May 3 at 5 p.m. According to an employee, at 4:59 p.m., a male black subject entered the business. The subject allegedly moved directly behind the counter and removed a knife from his right sweatshirt pocket. The suspect allegedly demanded money while pointing the knife in the direction of the employee.

The employee opened the cash register and the suspect allegedly removed the cash, also taking money that the employee was holding in her hand, according to police. The suspect took a total of $174.

The knife was described as brown in color with a 3 inch blade. The suspect then exited the business and fled northbound on foot, according to police.

The suspect is described as a light complexion black male with a goatee, approximately 6′ tall, 220 pounds with brown eyes, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, large blue jean pants and white gym shoes.
