Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An employee at Rich East High School reported having her keys stolen on October 20.

A yellow snow blower, valued at $500, was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Sioux Street on October 23.

A woman reported two bags stolen from a bench at the bus stop at the corner of Victory Drive and Main Street shortly after 10 p.m. on October 23. According to the complainant, she stated that after getting off the bus, she set her bags down on the bench at the bus stop, and went into the bushes to urinate, leaving her bags unattended. When she came out of the bushes, she noticed that her bags had been taken from the bus stop bench, and observed a black female dressed in a dark hooded sweatshirt walking away from the bench with her bags. Another passenger on the bus reported that he also got off the bus, went into the bushes to urinate, and saw a woman dressed in dark clothing take the two bags from the bench.

DeShaun D. Harris, 18, 457 Talala St.,  Park Forest, was arrested on October 23 and charged with harassment through electronic communication when police were dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department to investigate a report of threats. The alleged victim reported receiving threats both on his "MySpace" account and on his cell phone from Mr. Harris.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Sauk Trail on October 24 to investigate a report of a domestic battery in progress. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

Rahshawn C. Watson, 32, 125 Valleywood Dr., Steger, was arrested on October 24 and charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and failure to wear a properly adjusted and fastened safety belt when an officer patrolling on Sauk Trail observed Watson allegedly driving his vehicle without wearing his seatbelt.

Elizabeth Fritz, 42, 347 Niagara St., Park Forest, was arrested on October 24 and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, failure to signal, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, resisting, and possession of cannabis. Officers on patrol traveling northbound on Western Avenue at 26th Street observed the vehicle Fritz was driving increasing and decreasing speed. The officers observed the vehicle almost strike the right curb on Western Avenue at Algonquin Street, then travel over the dotted line repeatedly. The officers followed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Western Avenue north of Lincoln Highway.

A black and green ‘Mount Storm’ man’s mountain bike with rusted rims, valued at $175, was reported stolen from a porch in the first block of Birch Street on October 25.

A 19-inch Panasonic color television valued at $2000, two Sony three-foot black speakers valued at $300, a Sony receiver valued at $150, a Sony dual tape deck valued at $150, a five-CD changer and CD player valued at $150, and a DVD player valued at $100 were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Green Street on October 24.

The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Fir Street was reported shattered on October 25.

A man’s white gold wedding band with 1 carat diamond/sapphire stones, valued at $1000, a pair of women’s yellow gold earrings with three-carat round-cut diamonds, valued at $3500, a Sony portable PlayStation, valued at $200, a 14 karat yellow gold necklace, valued at $75, 14 karat yellow-gold and silver earrings, valued at $75, were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Wilshire Street on October 25.

A window of a residence in the first block of North Arbor Trails was reported shattered on October 26.

Several units in the area of Court H-6 were vandalized with gang graffiti on October 26.

Richard W. Fortner, 20, 208 W. 27th St., South Chicago Heights, was arrested on October 27 and charged with criminal damage to property and one count of domestic battery when police were dispatched to the first block of Sauk Trail to investigate a report of domestic battery.

Laura C. Alcantar, 27, 579 Homan Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on October 27 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to that address to investigate a report of domestic battery.

Eric King, 46, 1433 Regent Ln., Ford Heights, was arrested on October 27 and transported to the Homewood Police Department, after he was positively identified as a burglary suspect by a member of the Homewood Police Department. While on patrol, Officer Vallow observed the vehicle King was driving traveling westbound on North Street from Western Avenue, coming from the Beacon Hill area of Chicago Heights. The trunk of the vehicle was open, with a large red and black snow blower sticking out. According to police, Officer Vallow recalled an ISPERN message put out by the Homewood Police Department about 15 minutes earlier, regarding a vehicle matching the description of the car King was driving with a snow blower sticking out of the trunk. According to the ISPERN message, the subject and the vehicle were wanted in connection with a burglary report in Homewood, according to police.

A 42-inch Sony plasma television valued at $2000 was reported stolen from a residence in the 23400 block of Western Avenue on October 28.

A pizza delivery man reported that two pizzas, an order of spicy wings, and a 2 liter Pepsi bottle, valued at $45.29, were stolen from him as he attempted to make a delivery in the 100 block of Lester Road shortly before 11 p.m. on October 28.

The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Hickory Street was reported shattered on October 29.

A sliding glass door of an apartment in the 100 block of East Sycamore Drive was reported shattered on October 29.
