Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Two teenagers were arrested on January 2 and issued municipal citations charging possession of cannabis when detectives on patrol in the area of Lakewood Boulevard and Westwood Drive observed a vehicle at the stop sign at Westwood Drive with the passenger door open and a male subject outside the vehicle on the ground.

Ollie Williams, 49, 242 Arcadia St., Park Forest, was arrested on January 2 and charged with illegal walking in the roadway and possession of drug paraphernalia when detectives on patrol in the area of Allegheny Street and Apache Street observed Williams walking in the roadway where a sidewalk was available, according to police.

Stephen K. Barks, 20, 128 Elm St., Park Forest, was arrested on January 3 and charged with misdemeanor resisting a peace officer when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Elm Street to investigate a report of a suspicious auto.

Rodney D. Bauseman, 19, 318 North Orchard Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on January 3 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, failure to wear a properly adjusted and fastened seatbelt, and failure to signal when required when an officer on patrol observed that Bauseman was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt while driving southbound on Westwood Drive, and allegedly turned onto Warwick Street without signaling, according to police.

Kenneth J. Cummins, 41, 424 Tomahawk St., Park Forest, was arrested on January 3 and charged with unlawful visitation interference when police were dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department to investigate a child custody dispute.

Illinois license plate #G565283 was reported lost or stolen on January 5.

Melony S. Hall, 22, 15648 South Maryland Ave., South Holland, was arrested on January 6 and charged with theft following an investigation which began December 29 when an officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department to investigate a report of theft.

A 42-inch flat-screen Toshiba television, a Nintendo Wii game system with remotes, a Panasonic Blu-Ray DVD player, two .5 carat diamond earrings, a DVD player, a 27-inch flat-screen television, a round children’s jewelry box, a men’s yellow gold “300” bowling ring with a ruby center stone, and a gold-plated children’s necklace were reported stolen from a residence in the 2700 block of Western Avenue on January 6.

Nathaniel Jackson, 41, 585 W. Hickory St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on January 6 and charged with criminal trespass to property when police were dispatched to a house in the first block of Apache Street to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

Marlon E. Hyler, 30, 8216 Oblesby Ave., Chicago, and Deangelo J. Payton, 22, 15310 Meadow Lane, Dolton, were arrested on January 6 and charged with retail theft when police were dispatched to a business in the 2500 block of Western Avenue to investigate a report of retail theft.

A passenger-side window of a vehicle parked at the Metra parking lot, 520 Homan Ave., was reported shattered on January 7. The dashboard of the vehicle had also been tampered with. A witness reported seeing a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8" to 5’10", medium build, wearing a black knit cap and a brown puffy jacket.
