Police: Customer Bloodies Store Employee’s Nose Over Pack of Cigars


Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Police were dispatched to a business in the 300 block of Sauk Trail on November 2 to investigate a report of battery to an employee.

According to police, the suspect, a black male between 45 and 55 years of age, wanted to buy two packs of cigars but only had enough money to purchase one pack. The suspect allegedly became angry, saying he believed that the employee should not charge for the second pack of cigars because he was a regular customer. The suspect gave her one pack of cigars but did not exit the store, according to police. As the suspect continued to yell, the employee walked to the customer side of the counter until the suspect to leave the store, the suspect did not leave in the employee picked up the telephone advising that he was calling the police. At this point, the suspect allegedly ran toward the employee and allegedly punched the employee in the face three times. The suspect then fled the store.

The suspect is between 6 feet and 6’3", medium build, light skin with gaps in his teeth. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, according to police.
