Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Algonquin Street on July 22 to investigate a burglar alarm. Police discovered a door of a residence that had been forced open. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residence.

An Ario 32-inch LCD HDTV valued at $279.99 was among items reported stolen from a residence in the third block of Neola Street on July 22.

Hosea E. Ellis, 34, 1255 Division St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on July 22 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and issued citations charging improper parking on the roadway, driving under the influence of alcohol, blood alcohol content over 0.08, and operation of a motor vehicle without insurance. Police were dispatched to the area of Western Avenue and South Street at 3:02 AM to investigate a report of a vehicle stopped in traffic with the driver of the vehicle passed out behind the wheel, according to police. Police say Ellis had a breath test reading of .262 on the breathalyzer machine.

Police discovered two cannabis plants growing in the backyard of a residence in the 200 block of Arcadia Street on July 22. There were no arrests.

Police say a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Krotiak Road was vandalized with long circular scratches along the entire driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver’s side mirror had been broken as well. The report was made on July 23.

Police say a resident told them her wallet was stolen while attending a party in the first block of Apache Street on July 23.

Police discovered open doors on three separate residences in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street on July 23. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residences, according to police.

Darryl C. Williams, 18, 14 Apache St., Park Forest, was arrested on July 23 and charged with criminal damage to property when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny Street to investigate a report of criminal damage to property.

Joshua D. Staples, 24, 207 Gold St., Park Forest, and Isaac K. Robinson, 19 W. Rocket Circle, Park Forest, were arrested on July 24 and charged with disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Gold Street to investigate a report of a subject shooting bottles in front of her residence with a BB gun.

Conez P. Harrell, 20, 4236 Clark Dr., Richton Park, was arrested on July 24 and charged with criminal damage to property when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Hay Street to assist in the repossession of a vehicle.

Approximately $75 worth of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream was reported stolen from a business in the 400 block of Sauk Trail on July 24.

Brittany N. Jeffries, 21, 223 Miami St., Park Forest, was arrested on July 24 and charged with theft after police investigated a theft of approximately $75 worth of Ben and Jerry’s Ice cream on July 24.

Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Todd Street on July 24 to investigate a report of domestic battery. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

John Henry Robinson III, 25, 19 W. Rocket Circle, Park Forest, was arrested on July 24 and charged with criminal trespass to state-supported property when a records clerk at the Park Forest police station indicated that there were four subjects in the Police Department lobby demanding to know the status of an arrestee who was being processed.

A laptop computer and an Apple iPad valued at $600 were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Dogwood Street on July 25.

A wallet was reported stolen from a church in the first block of Dogwood Street on July 25.

A resident told police that someone opened a bank account in her name without her permission. The report was filed on July 25.

A Sanyo 46-inch flat-screen television valued at $650, an Xbox 360 game console valued at $400, and a Nintendo Wii game console valued at $300 were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on July 25.

A 52-inch LCD flat-screen television valued at $800, a coin collection and miscellaneous jewelry items were reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Apple Lane on July 26.

Police say approximately $100 in tennis balls were stolen from a storage room at Central Park, 420 Lakewood Boulevard, on July 27.

Calvin S. Davis, 35, 11025 S. Central Park, Chicago, was arrested on July 27 and charged with criminal damage to property when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Farragut Street in reference to a call regarding a suspicious subject at a residence.

Two Garman GPS units valued at $310 and a 12 volt power converter valued at $60 were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Chestnut Street on July 27.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Somonauk Street on July 28 to investigate a report of a burglary. Upon investigation, police discovered that the residence was in total disarray, with clothing, food, and feces on the floor and walls. Police say all of the sinks and toilets appeared to be clogged and were filled with black water. There was no electricity in the residence, according to police, and police found rotting food in various locations inside. The resident was advised that the residence was uninhabitable and anyone located sleeping at that residence would be arrested and charged with trespassing.

Tevin S. Watkins, 18, 343 Nassau St., Park Forest, was arrested on July 28 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Marquette Street in reference to a report of a fight, according to police.

A juvenile was arrested and processed on a charge of disorderly conduct when police on patrol at Central Park, 420 Lakewood Boulevard, observed a subject at a pavilion setting fire to an unknown object on one of the picnic tables, according to police.

A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Minocqua Street on July 28. Police say entry was gained to the vehicle via an open window.

A white women’s 26-inch Roadmaster bicycle valued at $150 was reported stolen from the first block of Michael Road on July 28.

Marcos R. Cuevas, 22, 300 Miami St., Park Forest, was arrested on July 28 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Mohawk Street to investigate a reckless discharge of a firearm complaint.

A silver 1999 Lexus RX 300, Illinois license plate 7092108, was reported stolen from the 300 block of Windsor Street on July 29. Police discovered that the vehicle had been found and towed by the Harvey Police Department on July 29. Police say someone had set fire to the vehicle.

An Xbox game system valued at $150 was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Oswego Street on July 29.

Four pair of Nike gym shoes valued at $570 total, a Sony PSP game valued at $150, a safe valued at $100, and a Nintendo DSL valued at $150, are among items reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arcadia Street on July 29.

A 32-inch Sony LED television valued at $450 and an Acer laptop computer valued at $400 were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Waverly Street on July 29.

A flat-panel television wall mount kit valued at $75 and a 42-inch flat-screen television valued at $500 were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Merrimac Street on July 30.

A Sears Toro 5.0 black and red gas lawnmower valued at $200 was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Park Street on July 30.

A resident in the 100 block of Berry Street told police on July 30 that while sitting in her living room on July 27, an unknown subject opened her front door and walked inside her residence. When the subject saw her, he turned around, left the residence, and closed the door. The resident said she did not immediately contact police because the subject left immediately upon entering.

A DVD player valued at $10 and a 19-inch television valued at $40 were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Neola Street on July 30.
