IllinoisJobLink.com Links Qualified Workers with Hiring Employers

Internet Job Board Part of IDES’ No-Cost HR Recruitment Services

SPRINGFIELD–(ENEWSPF)–December 4, 2012. Area business and civic leaders today joined Jay Rowell, the director of the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES), to praise an employment website tool that links qualified job applicants with businesses that are ready to hire.

The no-cost, HR-recruitment effort connects qualified workers with ready-to-hire employers through illinoisjoblink.com. Additionally, the IDES’ Business Services team assists businesses placing job orders, arranging for interviews and ensuring that all tax incentives are explored before a job offer is made.

“We are the state’s employment office. We help businesses find the right workers. We identify possible tax incentives. We do so because a business that is growing and is hiring is good for our economy,” Rowell said. “Illinoisjoblink.com and our no-cost HR-recruiting effort is the most direct path to employment in any of the estimated 4,600 help-wanted ads in the Springfield area.”

A sampling of Springfield-area opportunities include a mechanic, welder, physical therapist, nurse, truck driver, electrical engineer manager, business controller, computer database administrator, HVAC technician, and quality engineer. Some positions include annual wages of more than $40,000.

Rowell stood with business leaders from Cast Industries, Manpower, Bank of Springfield, Hospital Sisters Health System the Salvation Army and others to endorse IDES’ employment services and explain why the Springfield area should be optimistic about the economy and good-paying jobs.

Illinoisjoblink.com  allows individuals to create multiple resumes that emphasize different talents and allows businesses to search for specific skills. The keyword matching technology increases the likelihood of a successful new hire. Illinois JobLink emphasizes Illinois jobs, scrapes other commercial job boards, and compares favorably to private efforts that cost hundreds of dollars for a single advertisement. Business leaders can access IDES’ no-cost HR recruitment services by calling (877) 342-7533.
