Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Two Kodak digital cameras valued at $400, a checkbook and between four and five dollars cash were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Warwick Street on February 5.

Police say as many as six gunshots were fired through the bedroom window of a residence in the 400 block of Watseka Street sometime after 11 PM on February 6. One individual at the residence was shot in the leg and transported to the hospital by Park Forest Fire Department Paramedics, according to police. The case was turned over to the Investigations Division.

Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Hamlin Street when someone observed a juvenile looking through the trunk of a vehicle. The juvenile ran away when he saw someone watching him, according to police.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Forest Boulevard on February 6 at 6:38 AM in reference to a domestic problem involving alcohol, according to police. There were no arrests.

Police say a door of an office in the first block of Cedar Street was reported damaged on February 7. After gathering evidence from the scene, police say it appeared someone tried to kick open the door. Detectives are investigating.

A window of a residence in the 400 block of Navajo Street was reported shattered on February 8.

Police were called to a residence in the first block of Ash Street on February 8 at approximately 1:20 AM when an unresponsive 35-year-old male was discovered on a couch by a friend. Paramedics observed no signs of heart activity. The body of the individual was transported to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. Police recovered drug paraphernalia from the victim’s person, according to police.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on February 8 and charged with possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding over the posted limit, and driver’s license not on person, when an officer patrolling on Illinois Street observed the vehicle that the man was driving traveling westbound on Illinois Street at approximately 40 mph in the 30 mph zone, according to police.

Police responded to the 300 block of Oakwood Street on February 9 to investigate a 911 call that led to an investigation on a domestic battery complaint. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.
