CHICAGO HEIGHTS—(ENEWSPF)—February 25, 2013. Prairie State College, 202 S. Halsted Street, Chicago Heights, is hosting a three course series of energy demand reduction trainings – FREE of charge.
Courses being offered are:
Course 1: Effective Maintenance and Reliability Best Practices
Begins on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 – 8am – 5pm – Adult Training and Outreach Center (ATOC), Room 130
Overview of how maintenance contributes to a company’s bottom line and how senior management can lead an organization from a reactive to proactive culture creating Reliable Capacity® resulting in lower downtime, defects, customer service issues and energy cost. This course clearly shows how effective Maintenance increases profit through high productivity, lower energy usage and less rework.
Course 2: Introduction to Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
Begins on Thursday, April 11, 2013 – 8am – 5pm – Conference Center, Room 1315
A discussion of World Class performance and measuring the achievement of Reliable Capacity® through World Class Maintenance. The seven prerequisites business processes required for achieving effective planning and scheduling and maintenance work control will be examined. These processes are the foundation for measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the Maintenance investment. Case studies will demonstrate and verify how planning and scheduling is a good investment. Participants will discuss barriers and issues to improving Maintenance Productivity and examine solutions for implementing Maintenance Planning and Scheduling at their facility.
Course 3: Introduction to Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
Begins on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 – 8am – 5pm – Conference Center, Heritage Community Bank Room
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance are important in stopping the reactive Maintenance “higher cost” downward spiral. This course will discuss and demonstrate how good Maintenance does not cost more but less by finding failures while they are small through effective and efficient Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs. These Programs focus on eliminating failures by improving methods, design, operation and control. Several unit operations will be examined and attendees are welcome to bring difficult examples to the class to discuss how to write and create an equipment care plan to eliminate failure modes and eliminate unplanned downtime.
