Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An officer responded to the Park Forest Police Department on March 11 to investigate a report of identity theft. A man told police that someone had filed taxes using his name. Police are investigating.
A window of a residence in the 400 block of Lakewood Boulevard was reported damaged on March 11. Police responded to that residence to investigate a burglar alarm.
A resident told police that over $1600 had been withdrawn from his checking account after he noticed his debit card missing. The report was filed March 12.
Tywayne A. Long, 2600 Marigold Dr., Sauk Village, was arrested on March 12 and charged with obstructing identification and resisting a peace officer when police responded to the 500 block of Lakewood Boulevard in reference to a 911 hangup. Long was also processed on an outstanding warrant out of Sauk Village.
A Dell N5110 laptop computer valued at $800 was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard on March 12.
A juvenile was arrested on March 14 and processed on charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct when an officer working at Rich East High School was notified that a fight had just taken place. A second juvenile was issued a municipal citation charging disorderly conduct.
A juvenile was arrested on March 14 and charged with aggravated battery, aggravated battery to a police officer, and resisting a police officer when an officer working at Rich East High School responded to a request for police assistance to a staff member who reported that a student had just pushed her.
Police say four Pioneer 3000 Watt speakers valued at $2500, a red Craftsman toolbox containing various automotive tools valued at $2000, three 17-inch chrome rims valued at $1500, and other electronic equipment valued at $500 were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Washington Street on March 15.
A 2007 Chevrolet Impala, Illinois license plate N433812, was reported stolen from the 100 block of North Arbor Trail on March 16.
An Xbox game system, a PlayStation 3 game system, an Apple MacBook, and various coins and other currency were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Indiana Street on March 16.
Germaine L. Smith, 108 Hemlock St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 16 and charged with aggravated assault after police were dispatched to the 100 block of Hemlock Street to investigate a report of a domestic dispute.
Charles E. Mosley, 34, 3506 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on March 17 and charged with possession of cannabis when an officer patrolling in the area of 26th Street and Western Avenue observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Western Avenue that had only one headlight activated, according to police.
A juvenile was arrested on March 17 and processed on a charge of possession of alcohol by a minor when an officer responded to the Park Forest Police Department to investigate a report of a juvenile problem.
A white gold diamond bracelet valued at $500, and a white gold diamond wedding band valued at $5000, were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Lee Street on March 19. Police have suspect information and are investigating.
A wallet was reported stolen from a residence in the the 400 block of Main Street on March 20.
A Nikon DX 40 camera valued at $1300, a gray "N-Focus" projector valued at $1000, a Nintendo Wii game system valued at $300, and a paintball gun valued at $800 were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Lee Street on March 20.
A juvenile was arrested on March 20 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when an officer on patrol in the area of Thomas Street and Rutledge Street observed two subjects walking westbound on Thomas Street in the middle of the roadway, according to police.
A pair of black and green Miley Jim sunglasses valued at $200 were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Main Street on March 21.
Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Waldmann Street on March 21 to investigate a report of a violation of an order of protection. Upon arrival, police were advised that a three-year-old English Mastiff dog had been poisoned. Police discovered blood all over the living room carpet, blood in the kitchen, and a trail of blood down a hallway towards the bedrooms, with several spots where the dog had again thrown up. Police discovered blood on the carpet in both bedrooms, and found the dog lying motionless on the bathroom floor. Police say a large amount of blood surrounded the dog on the bathroom floor. The dog’s owner advised police that, while crying, she received a phone call from her ex-boyfriend asking, "What is wrong with you?" She told police that, while living in another state, she had another dog that had also been poisoned, according to a veterinarian. The resident told police that her ex-boyfriend was jealous of her relationship with her pets and wanted her all to himself, "without distraction," according to police. She advised that he had previously threatened her life and she was in fear for her life, according to police. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.
Four tires of a vehicle parked in the first block of Forest Boulevard were reported slashed on March 21. Police say there were also numerous keyed scratch marks all over the vehicle and a white grain-like substance around the gas cap. Police are investigating.
An officer was dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Niagara Street on March 21 to investigate a report of a deceptive practice. A resident told police that she had received a phone call from a man who advised her that her grandson was in police custody in Panama City, Panama. The subject related that her grandson would need approximately $3300 for bail money, or he be held in custody until mid-April. The resident sent $3285 by MoneyGram. She later spoke to her grandson who advised that he had never been to Panama City and had never been taken into custody.
An officer was summoned to the Park Forest Police Department to investigate a report of telephone harassment on March 21. Police are investigating.
