Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Park Forest Police Department is actively investigating three separate incidents that occurred between January 30 and February 9, 2016 where a lone female resident of a multi-family housing area on the Western Avenue corridor was robbed or attempted to be robbed outside of their residence by two to three male black men described to be in their late teens or early 20s. In each case the suspects fled in a vehicle described to be a van or SUV, of varying description. All of the incidents occurred in the early evening hours.
It is always important to be aware of one’s surroundings no matter where you may be, but the Park Forest Police Department urges residents of the multi-family areas along Western Avenue and 26th Street in Park Forest to be particularly aware of persons or vehicles that raise suspicion, and to immediately call 911.
The Park Forest Police Department has increased patrols in these areas and the Investigations Division is actively investigating these incidents. Anyone with information about these crimes is urged to call the Park Forest Police Department Investigations Division at 708-748-1309.
