CHICAGO–(ENEWSPF)–May 3, 2016. Eight journalism students who went to Flint, Mich. earlier this year to report on the impact of Flint’s water crisis will share their experiences at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 5 in Roosevelt University’s Gage Gallery, 18 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago.
Photos and multi-media stories developed by students in Roosevelt University Journalism Professor John Fountain’s Convergence Reporting class will be unveiled as part of a class project entitled “Faces of the Poisoned.”

“Of all the projects I’ve done with student journalists, I’ve never seen one that has had a greater impact,” said Fountain, a Chicago Sun-Times columnist and formerly a reporter with the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune.
Roosevelt students Elisabet Bernard, Alyson Jurgovan, Daly Tongren, Rachel Popa, Maiya Shackelford, Kurt Witteman, Joshua Hicks and Peter Rubenstein talked with Flint residents as well as Flint and Michigan politicians in March for “Faces of the Poisoned.”
“Each of these students in his and her own way was transformed by the reporting experience,” said Fountain.
The public are invited to attend the unveiling of the new reporting project that includes student narratives, written stories, photographs, videos, podcasts, as well as the project’s own website, which will be launched following the Gage Gallery presentation.
