Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from Park Forest police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Two televisions were stolen from a residence in the first block of Wayne Court. According to a police report, the victim had the televisions stolen from her home after they were delivered.

A cell phone, tablet computer, headphones and a wallet were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Iroquois Street on August 28.

A wallet was stolen from a vehicle August 28 in the 400 block of Tamarack Street.

Televisions, a video game console, a laptop computer were stolen during an apartment burglary on August 28 in the 100 block of North Arbor Trail. Police reported signs of forced entry.

Michael White, 22, 14 Monee Road, Park Forest, was charged with retail theft following an incident August 29 at Country Squire Foods, 120 S. Orchard Dr., police said. According to a police report, a man allegedly tried to exit the store with two packages of chicken wings in his pants. When confronted as he tried to leave, the man pulled the packages out of his pants and tried to flee the scene. Police took the suspect into custody a short time later.

Arielle Caprice Koger, 27, 52 Apple Lane, Park Forest, was charged with battery August 29 following an incident at her residence with two other women, police said. The suspect is accused of hitting a woman in the head with a closed fist.

Tajoris K. Miller, 22, 14810 Morgan St., Harvey, was charged with felony possession of lost or mislaid debit cards, driving on a suspended license and speeding following a traffic stop August 29 at the corner of Western Avenue and Algonquin Street, police said. According to a police report, police recovered several different debit cards, as well as over $2,000 in cash during a search of the suspect’s car.

Police continue to investigate a disturbance August 30 in the 100 block of Hemlock Street. According to a witness, a subject knocked on the door of his home. When the witness answered the door, a man forced his way in and began punching the witness. The witness told police the intruder threw him through a window. The intruder then fled the scene after the victim reportedly grabbed a knife and began chasing him. The witness was transported to Loyola University Medical Center for treatment.

Dushawn Maria Armstrong, 46, 305 Somonauk St., Park Forest, was charged with felony driving while license was revoked following a traffic stop August 31 in the 200 block of Indianwood Boulevard, police said.

Police reported finding a red Dodge van off the road near 26th Street and Allegheny Street on September 2. The van appeared to have left the road and collided with a tree. According to a report, when officers checked the van, it was running and the radio was on but there was nobody inside. Police had the van towed and will continue investigating.

Roosevelt Winding, 48, 857 Burnham Dr., University Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and illegal transportation of open alcohol following a traffic stop September 3 at the intersection of Monee Road and Western Avenue, police said.

Police reported that a window to a home in the 200 block of Nashua Street was shattered on September 3.
