NEW YORK–(ENEWSPF)–November 8, 2016
Greeting supporters outside her polling place in Chappaqua, New York
Hillary Clinton has already made history this morning. For the first time in the United States, a woman was able to go into the voting booth and vote for herself as the presidential candidate at the top of a major party ticket. And when asked how it felt, Clinton gave an answer that one would hope for from our next president:
It is the most humbling feeling, Dan, because I know how much responsibility goes with this and so many people are counting on the outcome of this election, what it means for our country, and I will do the very best I can if I am fortunate enough to win today.
Okay, admittedly, if Clinton had responded “I want to grind that orange buffoon under the heel of my shoe and then spit on him,” it would have been very satisfying. But not nearly as presidential.
Now, if you haven’t done so already, get out and vote. And make sure your family and friends get out too!
