Politico is reporting that Trump’s legal team filed an objection asking Michigan’s Bureau of Elections to halt the recount requested by Jill Stein which was scheduled to begin on Friday (tomorrow).
In their complaint, the Trump team argues:
“All available evidence suggests that the 2016 general election was not tainted by fraud or mistake,”
So, basically, while Trump publicly and without a shred of evidence decries millions of fraudulent votes nationwide, his legal team argues none of it happened in Michigan. As usual, talking out of both sides of his ass.
Not clear if their real motivation is to prevent a recount (are they worried?) or rather to simply to drive up the costs on Stein and the attention … allowing them to claim a new “victory” if the recount fails to alter the MI result.
