Village of Park Forest’s Sandra Zoellner Lands Economic Development Leader of the Year Award


Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–February 10, 2017.  Park Forest Assistant Economic Development Director Sandra Zoellner is the South Suburban Small Business Association’s Economic Development Leader of the Year.

Zoellner received the award at the 15th Annual Summit Awards at Idlewild Country Club in Flossmoor, Illinois on Feb. 8.

The South Suburban Small Business Association’s Economic Development Leader of the Year Award recognizes an area leader for their management ability, contribution to the community by working toward continued growth and viability of the region, and efforts made to build strong relationships with business.

Zoellner holds a masters degree in public administration from Wichita State University and served as the director of economic development in Russell County, Kansas for five years before joining the Village of Park Forest in 2005.

South Suburban Small Business Association is a registered Illinois non-profit regional organization dedicated to the concerns and issues affecting small and minority businesses located in our service area, which includes seventy-nine communities within an area approximately bounded by Evergreen Park to the North, Gary Indiana to the East, Peotone to the South, and Joliet to the West.
