Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Firefighters from three jurisdictions beside Park Forest fought a fire Sunday morning in the 400 block of Winnebago Street.
According to the PFFD, early Sunday morning, firefighters from Park Forest, Matteson, Richton Park and University Park responded to the 400 block of Winnebago to find a “heavily involved room” in a two-story Cape Cod structure.
“Through the efforts of those present the fire was quickly controlled,” according to the PFFD. “Aspects of this fire remain under investigation; but our hearts go out to the family involved in this tragedy.”
