HOMEWOOD—(ENEWSPF)—June 9, 2017. The Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) is announcing its 2017 summer evening small ensemble concerts being held at the beautiful and historic Ravisloe Golf Course, 18231 Park Avenue, in Homewood. Special on site pre-concert offerings to be announced soon.
A la carte dinner available on site in the Bunker Bar & Grill from 5-7PM or show your Ravisloe tickets for 10% food and drink at the elegantly trendy La Voute in La Banque Hotel, 2034 Ridge Rd., just 5 minutes from Ravisloe.

June 14 — Strings — Musical Mystery Tour
Drawing on the lively, melodic music of Eastern Europe, this program celebrates the heritage of our new Music Director, Maestro Stilian Kirov, who was born in Bulgaria and now lives in the U.S.
The IPO Strings will perform Hungarian dances, Romanian dances and gypsy music by Bartok, Glazunov, Chopin, Brahms and others.
June 28 — Brass 1 — From Sea to Shining Sea
Celebrate the U.S.A.’s birthday with a program of American and patriotic music with the always entertaining brass ensemble under the leadership of IPO trumpet Greg Fudala.
July 12 — Woodwinds — Parisian Nights
The IPO Wind Quintet will perform a program of delightful works by French composers like Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Milhaud, Faure and Ibert. Watch for details on a complimentary pre-concert wine tasting at Ravisloe with sampled selections available for purchase by the glass during the concert!
July 26 — Brass 2 — Bach, Brass and Bier
The IPO Brass Quintet will transport you to the biergartens of Germany with festive selections by German and Austrian composers. Watch for details on a complimentary pre-concert craft beer tasting with sampled selections available for purchase during the concert.
August 9 — Jazz with Ben Clark and Friends — Celebrating IPO’s 40th with Music from the 40’s
Ben Clark and Friends return to the courtyard to help IPO celebrate its 40th anniversary with a selection of jazz standards from the swinging 40’s!
