Park Forest, Il—(ENEWSPF)—September 16, 2017. On Saturday, September 30, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Will County Land Use Department Resource Recovery and Energy Division hosts a Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Event in Park Forest, in the parking lot of Continental Midland located at 24000 S. Western Ave.

Items Accepted include: Oil and Latex based paints/stains, Old/Unwanted medication, Paint thinners, Solvents, Drain cleaners, Cleaning products, Rechargeable batteries, Used Cooking Oil, Mercury & mercury items, Aerosol Paints & Pesticides, Lawn & Garden Chemicals and Fertilizers, Used Oil, Used Oil Filters, Old Gasoline, Antifreeze, Automotive/Boat batteries, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, Compact Fluorescent Bulbs, Pool Chemicals, Driveway Sealer.

Items NOT Accepted include: Electronics, Fireworks/ Explosives, Agricultural wastes, Fire extinguishers, Ammunition (check with your local police department), Radioactive material, Institutional wastes, Controlled substances, Alkaline batteries, Business wastes, Regular garbage, Tires, Smoke/CO detectors, Commercial Medical waste, Sharps/Needles, Gas cylinders.

The event is open to Will County residents only. However, even though Park Forest is located in two counties, i.e., Will and Cook Counties, all Park Forest residents may participate.
