When two sets of parents meet for a civilized discussion about their sons’ playground fight, the evening quickly deteriorates into a train wreck of finger-pointing, name-calling, tantrums and tears…and that’s before they break out the rum! Translated from its original French, ‘God of Carnage’ opened on London’s West End to critical acclaim, winning the Olivier Award for Best New Play. Opening for a limited Broadway run, the show was in such demand the run was extended an additional six months, resulting in a 1009 Tony Award for Best Play. The NY Times said of the show, written by Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton, “Ms. Reza’s streamlined anatomy of the human animal incites the kind of laughter that comes from the gut, as involuntary as hiccups.” It should be noted that ‘God of Carnage’ contains adult themes, language and content.

Tickets are $19 for adults, $18 for seniors, and $15 for students with ID. Group discount rates are also available. A Special Community Outreach Night will be held on Thursday, June 1 benefiting Aunt Martha’s in Chicago Heights and Park Forest and the Boys & Girls Club in Ford Heights. There is limited handicap seating.
