William J. Kalvelage, 81, Aug. 27, 2009, longtime resident of Park Forest, IL, beloved husband of the late Charlotte, nee Luttrell; devoted father of Becky Kalvelage-Roth (Martin) of Grant Park, and Timothy (Debbie) Kalvelage of Des Plaines; loving grandfather of Stacy Roth-Mann (Phillip), Steven (Marie) Quarcini, Jeffrey (Ashlee) Kalvelage and Brian Kalvelage (Valerie Vanatter); dear great grandfather of Alivia, Luke and D.J.; fond brother of Fran Newell, Mary Mall, George, and Dick Kalvelage.
Veteran of World War II. Retired employee of R.R. Donnelly & Sons after 35 years of service. Member of Rehfeldt-Meyer Post # 474 American Legion. Bill enjoyed vintage car racing and was a member of VSCDA.
The family will receive friends at Lain‑Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematory, 50 Westwood Dr., just west of Western off Norwood, Park Forest, IL, on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 3 to 9 p.m.
Memorial Service Thursday at 7 p.m. Military Honors and Committal Service, Friday, Sept. 4, time pending, with inurnment following at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
