Chicago, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual depicted in the attached wanted flyer, who is believed to be responsible for the August 13, 2008 armed robbery of the MB Financial Bank branch, located at 1014 Busse Highway in Park Ridge, Illinois. According to witnesses, at approximately 6:50 PM a man entered the bank wearing a black and pink, floral print dress; a pink, wide-brimmed, sun hat; long white cloth gloves and white sandals. He was carrying an oversized black purse and a handgun as he loudly announced the robbery and demanded money from the vault.
At the direction of the robber, an employee placed an unspecified amount of cash into a plastic shopping bag that the robber had brought with him. After receiving the money, the robber forced two bank employees and a lone customer into a bathroom and used plastic zip-ties to restrain their hands behind their backs. Witnesses report that the robber’s demeanor was calm and methodical during the entire ordeal. He left the building, fleeing in an unknown direction.
The robber is described as a black/male, approximately 18-20 years of age, 5’10’’ tall, and 150 pounds. The robber should be considered armed and dangerous.
In asking for the public’s assistance, Mr. Grant announced that a reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for any information leading to the identification and arrest of this robber.
