Chicago, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Robert D. Grant, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today that a reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the location and arrest of RAUL ARAIZA, age 20, whose last known address was 2559 South Trumbull in Chicago.
ARAIZA has been the subject of a nationwide manhunt, coordinated by Chicago FBI’s Joint Task Force on Gangs (JTFG), since September of last year, when he was charged in a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago with violation of federal drug and firearms laws.
ARAIZA is alleged to be a member of the Latin Kings street gang and is charged with overseeing the distribution of cocaine in the vicinity of 28 th Street and Lawndale in Chicago. ARAIZA was among 40 suspected gang members and associates charged as the result of an investigation code named “Operation Pesadilla”, which targeted the leadership of the notorious street gang. ARAIZA is one of only four defendants from this case who is still at large.
ARAIZA is described as a Hispanic/male, 20 years of age, 5’6” tall, medium build, weighing approximately 170 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes with slight facial hair. ARAIZA, who is also known to use the street name of “Wedo”, has an extensive criminal record and should be considered Armed and Dangerous.
