Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The 64th Annual Park Forest Art Fair takes over Downtown Park Forest Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days.

“We are especially excited that 22 new artists will be participating in the fair,” says Janet Muchnik. “They are coming, primarily, from the Midwest and represent a great diversity of media, from stained glass and ceramics to pen and ink drawing and oil, acrylic or watercolor painting. Plan to visit the fair on September 21 and 22, 10:00 to 5:00. On Saturday, also enjoy the music fest sponsored by the Village and on Sunday, fest favorite, the folksinging duo ‘Patchouli.'”

The artist who has been participating in the Park Forest Art Fair for the greatest number of years is Patricia Moore. She first exhibited in 1974 and has exhibited in nearly every art fair since then. Forty-five years!

Through her special gift for teaching, she has reached thousands of young art enthusiasts. Pat was selected as one of the “Best Muses for Children” in the 2004 and “Best of Chicago” issue of. Chicago Magazine

Raised in Park Forest, Pat Moore took art classes at the Park Forest Art Center (now the Tall Grass Arts Association), starting when she was just 5 years old. Later in life, she attended the Art Institute of Chicago. Pat served 21 years as director of the Tall Grass Gallery and school. In 2002, TGAA dedicated a scholarship in her name.

In 1997, Pat submitted a lily painting to the Easter Seal Society competition as a way of making a donation of art. Her lily was one of six seals selected for 1998 and was mailed to 14 million homes.

Her booth is on Main Street, in front of her gallery, so look for her there.
