Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Park Forest Baseball has completed two of the clinics run by the Chicago White Sox Training Facility and have the final clinic slated for Sunday, March 3rd at 12 PM. It will be held at Forest Trail on Lakewood Blvd with a cost of $10 to registered Park Forest Baseball players and $20 to non-members. The clinics have been well received by players and parents and have generated much enthusiasm. They are a way to learn new techniques and improve the players’ skills.

The final two registration dates are scheduled for Saturday, March 1st and Saturday, March 8th at Freedom Hall on Lakewood Blvd. from 10-1. Further information can be found on our website at www.ParkForestBaseball.org.

There are many new and exciting changes taking place. The final stages of planning are underway for placing dugouts on the four fields at Central Park. We have set up several Shop and Share dates for this year at Jewel. You simply shop on the specified dates and turn in the identification slip for our group. At the end of the three days we are given a percentage of the total sales. The dates will be April 21-23, June 2 – 4, and June 30 – July 2. These identification slips can be obtained through the website soon.

Even if you do not have any players in the league, you can help support Park Forest Baseball through this program. Any Jewel store in the Chicagoland area will accept these slips, so please tell your friends and family.

Another fundraising project underway is through the PFBB Sportswear link on our website for team sportswear. You place an order for a league logo item and a percentage is donated to the league. Another fundraising event will be held at Fuddruckers on Sunday, March 16. The league will receive a percentage of all sales brought in. You can obtain the slip needed for this by contacting anyone listed on the email contact list that is on our website.

Opening Day will take place on Saturday, April 19th. It will kick off with a parade from the downtown area to Central Park. Our special guest will be Jammer from the Joliet Jackhammers. After the parade the fundraising prizes will be awarded, as well as some other prizes. Games will begin shortly after and later in the day Boomer from the Windy City Thunderbolts will come out to the park.

Park Forest will host the Intercommunity Pony All Star game on Friday, May 30 at Central Park. Our special guest for that evening will be Southpaw from the Chicago White Sox. The Park Forest All-Star games will be held on Sunday, June 1.
