Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— The Park Forest Business Network staged a Business Expo in Village Hall the last weekend in April, taking advantage of the extra traffic as numerous residents came by Village Hall at the last minute to pick up 2007/2008 vehicle stickers. The event showcased a number of businesses in town, and ended with a lottery drawing.

Planning for the event included an April 17 meeting at Bixby's on Sauk Trail. Participating businesses contributed money towards the event, which helped pay for the raffle held after the expo concluded on Monday, April 30. Moses Clay, Jr. of Park Forest won the $100 grand prize, and eight $50 prizes were also awarded.

The following businesses participated in the expo: Allstate Insurance, Ashford Realty, Aunt Martha's Youth Service Center, B & J Services, Beth Bath, Inc., Client First Realty, Cremation Society of Illinois, eSeMBe Technical Services, First Midwest Bank, Jo Leigh Design, JU-El Ltd., Na'ama Rose Dance Center, Pardillo's Home Cleaning Service, Park Forest Chiropractic, Ltd., Park Forest Lions Club, Primerica, Reliable Health Care Service, Shire Enterprises, State Farm Insurance, Swarn Vacations, Synergetics Home Improvements, Victory Centre of Park Forest and Westbrook Realty.

This year's expo drew a total of 24 business, including event organizer Sandra Roos of Shadow Executive Services. This was up from last year, when 17 businesses participated. Roos commented, "This is one sure way to get local residents to know what's available and to shop Park Forest first."
