Drug Arrest on Winnebago Follows Warrant Search


Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Members of the South Suburban Emergency Response Team (SSERT) executed a search warrant at 430 Winnebago Street on Saturday, March 8, at 5:40 a.m. Detectives DeVries, Beilke, Det. Commander Green, Officers Houcek, DeCeault, Sweitzer and his K-9 partner Aron made entry into the residence and secured six people, one adult, a 17 year old, three juveniles and a six month old baby.

The adult, Tiffanee Brown, 33, 430 Winnebago, Park Forest, was located in the house by the SSERT as she was coming down the stairway.

A search of the residence was conducted. Police located one bag containing approximately 80 gm. of a green leafy substance, suspect cannabis, from the top of a dresser drawer in an upstairs bedroom. A field test was performed on the substance. It tested positive for the presumptive presence of cannabis, according to police. Located directly next to the suspect cannabis was a red digital scale. On the scale was a white powdery substance, suspect cocaine, and a green leafy substance, suspect cannabis, according to police. At the foot of the bed was a black duffel bag containing two sandwich bags with a white powdery substance, according to police. A field test was performed on the white powdery substance in each bag and it tested positive for the presumptive presence of cocaine, according to police.

Brown gave a statement to police. Det. DeVries spoke with Assistant States Attorney Quinn who approved felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis.
