Early Voting Begins for Feb. 24 Primary Election


Cook County , IL–(ENEWSPF)– Suburban Cook County voters eligible to vote in the Feb. 24 Primary can participate in Early Voting beginning Monday, Feb. 2, Clerk David Orr reminded voters.

Early Voting will run from Monday, Feb. 2 through Thursday, Feb. 19 at the Clerk’s downtown office and five suburban sites. Contests are on the ballot in 273 precincts in Schaumburg Township and five municipalities: Berwyn, Calumet City, Cicero, Dolton, Elgin.

“Many voters were introduced to Early Voting during the unprecedented turnout for the November presidential election,” Orr said. “This primary may be smaller, but we still want to make it as convenient as possible for people to vote.”

The six Early Voting sites are:

  • Berwyn City Hall, 6700 W. 26th St., Berwyn, 708.788.2660

The hours are Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. *Only the Clerk’s office will have Sunday hours from 9 a.m. to noon.

Those choosing to vote early do not need to provide a reason or excuse. Early voters are required to display valid identification before voting, such as a current driver’s license, state-issued ID card or another government-issued photo ID.
