eNews Park Forest Statement on Coverage of April 2009 Elections

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– As our loyal readers know, one of the primary goals of eNews Park Forest is to provide the best source for community news. On Tuesday, April 7th Park Foresters will have the opportunity to elect those that will represent us on the Village, School and Library Boards. In order to assist in providing the most balanced news coverage for those running for office in these important elections, a Questionnaire was developed and provided to all declared candidates running for Village Trustee, School Board and Library Board. The candidates were instructed that completed Questionnaires must be returned no later than March 21st and will be published in eNews verbatim within 48 hours of receipt.

Completed Questionnaires can be found by clicking on Latest News and clicking on the appropriate links at the bottom of that page. As of this writing, one candidate has returned a Questionairre.

Following receipt of all Questionnaires, an independent panel will review the responses and recommend the candidate(s), if any, that eNews Park Forest will endorse. Any endorsements will be published in the April 6th edition of eNews Park Forest.

Readers should be aware that since Gary Kopycinski, Editor and Publisher of eNews Park Forest, currently serves in the capacity of Village Trustee, he will have no involvement in this process whatsoever.

We encourage you to read this election coverage and remind you to exercise your right to vote on April 7th.
