Errata

eNews Park Forest published the following Errata, beginning with the most recent:

  • The July 12, 2009 article, Driver in Serious Condition After Train Strikes Car at Western Ave. was originally titled, Driver Escapes Without Major Injuries After Train Strikes Car at Western Ave. The title was originally based on police at the scene who said the driver had no “visible” injuries. We changed the title of the article to reflect later information learned from police and hospital spokespersons.
  • The May 15, 2008 story, Boil Order Lifted, referring to the lifting of the water ban, indicated the original ban was for “residents south of Western Avenue.” We have revised the story, and regret the error.
  • The Park Forest for May 12, 2008 were originally titled Park Forest Police Reports — May9, 2008.
  • The story Good Advice for Gorgeous Grass published April 16, 2008, originally carried the bylineMEMPHIS, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE unintentionally ). The word “unintentionally” did not belong there. We regret the error.
  • The photo in the story Bumper to Bumper Opens in DownTown Park Forest , published March 10, 2008, originally incorrectly stated that the store was not open. The caption should read, ” Bumber to Bumper is now open in DownTown Park Forest. (Photo: Rich Whitehead).” The error has been corrected.
  • The story SOLD! Developer Buys Norwood Plaza published March 10, 2008, incorrectly stated that the buyer Nassimi Realty LLC received $125,000 commission. The story has been corrected. We regret the error.
  • The story Park Forest to Lose 20% of Trees to Emerald Ash Borer published February 25, 2008, originally had an incorrect title for Superintendent of Parks Rob Gunther. We regret the error.
  • The outgoing email for the January 11, 2008 end of the week update indicated that the update was for January 11, 2007. We realize we celebrated the New Year on January 1, 2008, and regret the error.
  • The outgoing email for the December 31, 2007 issue incorrectly stated that the day of the week was Friday, instead of Monday. We apologize for the error. Since these emails account for most of our errors so far and are written late at night after an issue has been “put to bed,” (this one at 3:30 a.m.), we will make a note of proofing more carefully.
  • The outgoing email for the December 28, 2007 End of Week Update had an incorrect embedded link for https://www.enewspf.com.
  • The outgoing email for the December 21, 2007 End of Week Update had a dead link for the Police Reports. The correct link is here:
  • The outgoing email announcement for the December 17, 2007 eNews Park Forest featured a header that read, “This weeks top stories.” The header should have read, “This week’s top stories.” We regret the error
