Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Want to find out why it’s taken so long for the auto industry to seriously develop hybrid and electric cars?
On Thursday April 30 the League of Women Voters of the Park Forest Area will sponsor a public viewing of the film Who Killed the Electric Car? The film will be shown at the Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Boulevard, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
This documentary deals with the construction and eventual destruction of battery run electric cars in the 1990s.
Come see what part the government and oil companies played in this “murder mystery.” This story is especially timely with the auto makers’ economic problems and the president’s emphasis on alternative energy. A discussion will follow the movie.
