Free Resource Convention for All Caring for the Elderly


Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Are you or anyone you know currently caring for an older adult experiencing memory loss or some type of dementia? If so, you may be interested in attencing a very special series of events this Saturday, November 15, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Illinois Theatre Center, 371 Artist’s Walk, in DownTown Park Forest.

A number of specialists will provide information regarding Guardianship, Power of Attorney and other legal matters, as well as Home Safety. Vendor tables will be available to provide information throughout the event.

Following the presentations, a film entitled, "You Are Here," will be shown. This independent film was conceived as a vehicle to stir interest in a proliferating contemporary crisis – progressive memory loss. "You Are Here" is a touching, moving portrait of Alzheimer’s Disease that has impacted viewers across the country.

Following the film, a panel of experts will answer questions.

Attendees will also be able to make appointments for a free Memory Screening to be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Arden Courts of Hazel Crest.
