Health Care Reform

ANA Nurses Stand with President in Support of Health Reform Now

Silver Spring, Maryland–(ENEWSPF)–March 4, 2010.

Members of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the largest nursing organization in the US, joined President Obama today (March 3) at the White House to demonstrate their strong support for the President and his goal of achieving meaningful health reform now. Registered nurses and other healthcare professionals stood with the president as a united front urging congressional lawmakers to take action and pass health reform legislation in the coming weeks.

“Our patients can’t afford to wait,” remarked ANA President Rebecca M. Patton, MSN, RN, CNOR.  “With over 50 million people without health insurance in this country today, America’s nurses are convinced the price of inaction is too high, we need health reform now.”
