House Ransacked During Indianwood Burglary

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard shortly after 5 p.m. on September 4 to investigate a report of burglary. A family member stopping by to check on the house noticed that the kitchen window had been shattered and the rear door was standing open.

When Officers Butler and Kush arrived, they entered the residence, discovering no one inside. They found the house to be in a “ransacked” condition, with drawers pulled out and various items spread on the floors throughout the residence.

According to police, there was broken glass in the kitchen sink and various kitchen items knocked over, consistent with someone climbing in through the broken kitchen window.

A jewelry box on top of the dresser had its drawers pulled out. The owner said several pieces of jewelry were missing.
