How Full Are Local Hospitals? Aug. 8, 2021 Update

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Delta and Lambda variants of the Coronavirus are pushing up numbers of infected again, particularly among the unvaccinated. Noticeably, the Cook County Medical Examiner has not seen a dramatic uptick of deaths due to SARS-CoV-2, or COVID-19. As of this writing, however, local hospitals are closer to capacity while hospitals further from Park Forest currently have more beds available.

As of Sunday night, Franciscan Health of Olympia Fields and Chicago Heights shows 85% of all beds full and 99% of ICU beds full.

Advocate South Suburban shows 61% of all beds full, 70% of ICU beds full.

Ingalls Memorial in Harvey currently shows 93% of all beds full, 92% of all ICU beds full.

Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn shows 74% of all beds open and 87% of ICU beds full.

Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago shows 89% of all beds full and no ICU beds open at this time.

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox shows 81% of all beds full and 91% of ICU beds full.

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago shows 71% of all beds full with 66% of ICU beds full.

Rush Oak Park Hospital currently shows 73% of all beds full with 63% of ICU beds open.
