Chicago Far-South Suburban NAACP February Meeting: Survival – Are You Prepared?


Riverdale, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The NAACP Chicago Far-South Suburban Branch will hold its FEBRUARY 2010 Membership Meeting on Thursday February 11, 2010 at the Thornton Township Senior Youth and Family Center, 14323 S. Halsted, Riverdale, IL from 7:00pm until 8:30pm.

The theme of the meeting will be: SURVIVAL – are you prepared?

A panel of NAACP members T.L. McCullough, Terri Robinson and Dr. Theresa McCoy will present in response to the realization that African American Communities across America may not be prepared to survive natural and other man made disasters which increase minorities health related risks, homelessness and loss of inherited land.

Representatives of the Haitian American Community Association and the Hope for Haitian American Youth and Elderly Association will be present to discuss personal experiences related to the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti as well as many important issues all Americans should know about Haitian contribution to America and the world.
