TALK TO ME: Using talents and voices to fight against the murder of black and brown people by police and the overwhelming racial inequality in the United States.

Chicago—(ENEWSPF)—May 15, 2015 — On Friday, May 15th, organizers with #TrainTakeover Chicago will hold their fourth action, beginning at 4:50 PM at the Roosevelt CTA Station, 24 E Roosevelt Rd, where they will board the Red Line.

Join us for our fourth time riding up and down the Red Line, using our talents and voices as means of not only fighting against the murder of black and brown people by police, but also the overwhelming racial inequality in the United States and the myriad of effects that come from it.

Artists are encouraged to bring your poems, pieces, hand drums, guitars, instruments, signs, etc.

Our goal is to start a dialogue with those who are so often easily able to ignore us and our voices. We gather to encourage Chicagoans to confront the realities of police violence against black and brown people. Each action has grown from the one before it, and this one will be no different. We will again have cards with facts, statistics, and quotes to present to riders and then leave on the train. We will also be passing out t-shirts that say “TALK TO ME” to encourage conversation with CTA riders.
