Grande Prairie Choral Arts Announces Selection of Jo Rodenburg as Artistic Director

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Grand Prairie Choral Arts announced the selection of of  Jo Rodenburg as Artistic Director for their 2010/11 season.

In a press release, the organization said Ms. Rodenburg brings an excitement and energy to our organization based in her commitment to the arts in the overall region, and specifically in her belief that GPCA that has been such an important part of the South Suburban performing arts community.

As a classical performer active in opera, classical concert music and such prestigious organizations as Music of the Baroque, Chicago Symphony Chorus and Grant Park Music Festival; Ms. Rodenburg has first hand knowledge and understanding of the skills and tools necessary for the voice as an expressive artistic medium. She has learned from some of the best, and is committed to share that experience with our singers. Her own talents as a vocalist aside, she brings a background as musician, choir director and teacher. She has maintained a busy teaching studio in Chicago for the past 15 years with a range of student experience from the beginner with no prior voice training to seasoned professionals maintaining and still developing their craft. Her students range from 12 years old to 60 years young. She believes music comes from the heart and when released is one of the most fulfilling experiences a person can enjoy.

Please welcome Jo Rodenburg effective August 1st. She invites all individuals who love to sing to join her with the only auditioned choral organization in the South Suburbs to rehearse and perform masterworks in all genres from Baroque to jazz for audiences in the south suburban communities.
